Siberian ginseng: has been used for centuries as a tonic in times of stress to increase vitality, energy and stamina. It increases tolerance to mental, physical, and environmental stressors, helping to normalize the way in which the body responds to stress triggers by regulating the production and secretion of adrenal hormones and strengthening the adrenal glands. Siberian ginseng may also support the immune system which can be suppressed during times of stress.

Ashwagandha: has been extensively used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years as a strengthening tonic for the nervous system. Its anti-anxiety properties have a calming and rejuvenating effect on the nervous system making it especially beneficial for those who are 'tired but wired' and is beneficial for people suffering from insomnia, nervous exhaustion, and debility due to stress. It may also improve memory, mood and have a positive effect on immune function.

Rhodiola: has a long history of use dating back thousands of years. The Vikings used Rhodiola to increase endurance, stamina, and physical strength during their journeys. A powerful adaptogen used to assist the body in adapting to stressful conditions (physically and mentally), improve work performance, concentration, assist healthy short term memory function, improve mood and immune function and physical endurance reducing the effects of stress and increasing energy levels.

Tyrosine: is an amino acid required to manufacture stress regulating hormones especially adrenaline and noradrenaline which are depleted during times of stress. Also, the production of noradrenaline may enhance mental alertness and tyrosine levels can decline with age.

What is an Adaptogen?

An adaptogen is a term that describes a herb that is able to increase the body’s capacity to cope with stress. Specifically, adaptogens recharge the adrenal glands, which are the body's mechanism for responding to stress and emotional changes.

Adaptogenic herbs have been traditionally used for stress adaptation, to maintain stamina, increase endurance and helping to overcome the effects of fatigue, mental and physical burnout, and lowered immunity associated with stress.

Contraindications:

Bipolar disorders.

Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

People with uncontrolled high blood pressure (>180/90mmHg) use with caution.

Not recommended for people with Addison’s disease (too stimulating).

Cautions:

Caution with Siberian ginseng in high blood pressure (excess of 180/90mmHg).

Siberian ginseng may increase plasma drug levels of Digoxin (used to treat heart failure).

Tyrosine: as a precursor to thyroxine may aggravate Hyperthyroidism and Grave’s disease.

(Although unlikely due to the small amount)

Concurrent use of stimulants (e.g., Red Bull, Guarana, Amphetamines).

Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. (gelatin capsule).

Adults:Take 1-2 capsules daily or as professionally prescribed.
